Solutions · Critical infrastructure

For systems that can’t go dark.

Data centers, hospitals, ports, telecom, water-treatment plants, public-safety facilities — sites where the cost of an outage is measured in lives, not dollars. Ipnops Grid is built for them: load orchestration that respects redundancy class, sub-second resilience, sovereign operation, and the standards-grade evidence trail their auditors expect.

Use cases

What the platform actually does, here.

Data center power + cooling co-orchestration

Liquid-cooled AI racks now routinely exceed 1,000 W/rack; some 2026 deployments are projecting 200-250 kW/rack. The platform models the coupled power-cooling-IT-load problem: GPU clusters ramp, inlet temperatures move, chillers respond, the grid sees it. We orchestrate against ISO LMP signals, on-site PV and BESS, waste-heat recovery to district networks (Finland / Sweden / Netherlands pattern), and the data center's own SLA envelope.

Hospital power resilience

Tier-rated power redundancy with millisecond-grade failover. The platform integrates with the hospital's existing UPS and gen-set controls, runs continuous health checks on every redundancy path, simulates failure modes hourly, and pre-positions BESS state-of-charge against upcoming weather risk. Critical loads (operating rooms, ICU, MRI, server rooms) are stratified explicitly; non-critical loads are sheddable on outage.

Port electrification

Cold-ironing for berthed vessels, electrified terminal-tractors and reach-stackers, container-yard fleet charging, refrigerated-container orchestration. The peak-load shape on a fully-electrified container port is brutal; the platform shapes it through smart-charging schedules, BESS co-deployment, and shore-power dispatch. Coordinates with the local DSO under FERC 2222 / equivalent regional frameworks.

Telecom site resilience

Tower-site BESS + diesel + solar hybrids managed for both energy cost and ride-through duration. The platform predicts site-level weather risk, rotates diesel test cycles to keep gen-sets ready, and flags telemetry deviation that suggests degradation — fuel-supply problems, battery health drift, AC-DC converter wear.

Water-treatment energy management

Electricity is 25-40% of a wastewater plant's operating cost (MDPI Energies, ACEEE). Aeration alone consumes 40-60% of that energy budget; pumping another 20-30%. The platform runs MPC against tariff signals while honouring process constraints (DO setpoints, residence times, chemistry schedules). The AI-in-water-management market is on a path to $53.85B by 2032; this is the energy slice of that.

Sovereign edge inference

Critical-infra customers cannot hand sensitive operational data to a public cloud. The platform supports on-premise inference (Crusoe Edge Zones / Azure Local / equivalent class), full air-gapped operation, and hardware-rooted PKI for every device under management. Inference at the edge of the customer's perimeter; control-plane orchestration only with explicit consent.

OT cyber posture

AI-assisted adversaries cut breakout time to minutes — observed as low as 27 seconds in 2026 reports. NERC CIP-003-9 (April 2026 enforcement) and CrowdStrike's documented 89% YoY rise in AI-using adversaries make AI-grade detection table-stakes. The platform's audit logs, RBAC, and OT-side anomaly detection are designed to harden the control plane, not just observe it.

How a deployment runs

From assessment to autonomous resilience.

  1. 01

Discovery: failure-mode workshop with the customer's reliability engineering team. Asset graph imported from existing BMS/EMS/UPS controllers. Redundancy class established per load.

  2. 02

Read-only baseline: 60 days. The platform watches every failover, every excursion, every margin event. Output is a quantified resilience report — what's working, what's not.

  3. 03

Constrained autonomy: load orchestration goes live, but failover and emergency operations remain on existing controllers. The platform recommends; humans approve.

  4. 04

Full integration: when the customer's RE team signs off, the platform takes over the orchestration loop while the existing safety controls keep their final-say veto. Auditable from end to end.
